It's able to do this thanks to its two different hybrid engine options. There is a standard 2.5-liter full hybrid which is able to attain up to 40 miles per gallon in the city as a gas-engine acts in unison with an electric motor to provide 191 combined horsepower. There is a gas-only option which is a 2.0-liter EcoBoost available as well for greater towing and power.
