Ford Offers Two Unique Hybrid Style Vehicles

There are a number of different types of fuel-efficient vehicles. There are electric vehicles, hybrids and plug-in hybrids. Electric vehicles only use battery power while hybrids and plug-in hybrids use both electric and battery. Plug-in hybrids and regular hybrids differ in that a hybrid’s main source of energy is fuel while a plugins main source of energy is the battery.

Ford offers two different hybrid vehicles. To learn more about these different vehicles, check out our breakdown below and let us know which vehicle you prefer.

2018 C-Max Hybrid SE

One of these hybrid vehicle is the 2018 C-Max Hybrid SE. This vehicle sports a 2.0-liter Hybrid Electric Powertrain. It can generate the best-in-class 188 horsepower. It uses a regenerative braking system which allows you to recover energy that is used in braking and transfer it back to your battery for later use.

This vehicle also sports numerous technology features that are designed to keep you safe. One of these is the standard Rear View Camera. This allows you to have a clear view of the area behind you when you are reversing. This is an ideal feature for folks that fear backing in and out of tight parking situations.

2018 Ford Fusion Hybrid SE

This vehicle offers a 1.4 kWh lithium-ion battery. It sports a 2.0-liter iVCT Atkinson-cycle I-4 engine and an electric motor. It also has regenerative braking to allow you to charge your vehicle as your brake. An electric power-assisted steering system also comes standard on this Ford model.

This vehicle is slightly longer than the C-Max Hybrid SE but still has room for five passengers. This vehicle is also more of a sedan style vehicle while the C-Max Hybrid SE is more of a hatchback style vehicle. The trunk space in the Ford Fusion Hybrid SE is only 16 cubic feet. But, with the C-Max Hybrid SE, you have 24.5 cubic feet with the rear seats up and 52.6 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down.
