Experience the Fox Ford Lincoln Difference - Chicagoland IL Area

There are a lot of outstanding new Ford crossovers and SUVs in the lineup, but a familiar face was recently revealed at the 2018 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), and not only did it get some slick new style and other notable upgrades, but it debuted an awesome new driver-assist feature that will be available on the upcoming 2019 Ford Edge SUV.

2019 Ford Edge | Evasive Steering Assist

The all-new 2019 Ford Edge joins the Ford crossover/SUV lineup with a very special feature in tow: available Evasive Steering Assist. Here’s how it works:

  • The road can be unpredictable, but this available feature can help make the unpredictable a little more manageable. If there is a slowed or stopped vehicle in front of you and a collision can’t be avoided simply by braking, this feature can offer steering support.
  • Using a front-mounted camera and radar to monitor traffic around you and operating at both city- and highway-level speeds, this system activates when it detects an evasive maneuver like a swerve—since it’s easy to oversteer in these situations, the system assists with the steering to give you the right amount to potentially avoid a collision, while also potentially preventing you from accidentally oversteering or losing control.

While you can’t get your hands on the 2019 Ford Edge right this second, we think it’s worth biding your time over! Can’t wait? Then join us here at Fox Ford in Chicago—you can take a look at all our new Ford crossovers and SUVs to find the one that calls to you.
